Hi,

I play in a band called 'The Kettleheads' that is based in Brisbane. Currently, I am looking for an artist to illustrate a gig poster for a trip we are planning on in late June. I have ideas in mind concerning the content of the poster but I have no skill or experience in actually doing it myself.

My initial idea was to illustrate three lone horseman on a farway desert mountain looking down into the lowlands below with the band's on the bill and other details around the image. I was leaning towards more of a comic/cartoon aesthetic but the overall style is very flexible on the artist's behalf.

I would be willing to pay the artist through a negotiable price. More work could also come in the future if the experience was a pleasant one. I'd love to hear from anyone interested as I'm not specifically looking for any certain artist "level"; meaning I'm very interested in talking to amateurs.

Please reply through this forum or contact me at mperkins88@hotmail.com for further discussion.

Thanks,
Mitchell

Kettlehead, this is a wonderful opportunity for someone, how big does this painting have to be, I certainly do not have the confidence to do something like that and my paintings are very realistic, but there has to be someone who can help you out, from here, good luck

Here I am?

Oooh three lone horsemen on a faraway desert mountain? Sounds really neat! A digital painting would probaly be easiest as you can make it the file high quality and such.

Yeah, digital would definately be the way to go... I want to make it clear that this is no "high class" professional band here...We're just an amateur band wanting a half decent poster who don't know who to ask. Anyone willing to give it a shot I'd love to talk to.
