Here it is again, I have finally got to this stage, have got heaps of work to do on the little girls face with highlights etc,and looking at the little boy his chin is out of whack a bit, I am having trouble getting the expressions on both their faces that are in the original photo and doubt I ever will, hopefully the next time I post this , it will be finished, I have found this quite difficult to do, getting the shading in the right place has been a bit of a nightmare, but am reasonably pleased so far, mind you I will probably look at it tomorrow and change everything, never know when to stop with portraits.
gorgeous, you have done really well with the skin tones and expressions

That has turned out fabulosly. I love every bit of it - the hair, the dress, the joey - it's just gorgeous.

Jewels... you are moving along so very well with this... i think you are being a little over critical...the expressiveness... the tonings and porportions are wonderful... the way you have painted the background enhances so much the focal point being their faces... can't wait for the next installment... think it through and no rushing is key.

Perugina, thanks for that advice, you are probably right, guess I am sick of looking at it, I think it is okay and then I look at it again and I think its awful....will try and get it finished this week, and I will try to do as you suggest and think it through without rushing into anything. Thanks again

Jewels - sorry I'm a bit late with my post, been away from the computer all weekend - but - this is FANTASTIC - and I just LOVE everything about the painting - You have done so well already, and I too think you are being to hard and critical on your self - THIS IS GREAT WORK !!!!

Thank you ,Bob, V-Mak, Emkay, and Jayde, you are all very kind with your comments, gives me inspiration to finish it, I started again today and thought it was dreadful, nearly threw it out, so will stay away from it for a couple of days, and maybe I will feel differently about it, will post it when I have got it finished, thanks everyone for your encouragement
