Willy Wagtail on Fallen Moreton Bay Fig

This little bugger kept me out in the sun for about 40mins... before i was able to snap this.

He kept darting on and off this fallen Moreton Bay Fig in the yard.
Wagtails are almost always on the move and are rarely still for more than a few moments during daylight hours. Even while perching as their name suggests...they will flick their long tails from side to side, twisting about looking for a tasty treat in the form of an insect!

Great photo - looks like you only just got him before he flittered off again! I miss willywag tails we have heaps in Qld but not so many down here
