Sleeping beauty - awakened

Here's the follow-up to Sleeping Beauty. Also started out as a doodle,( actually done before Sleeping Beauty) about 5 x 3.5 cm in felt tip.
This is the first stage where I have drawn up the image on prepared canvas 16x20" with 00 brush and black acrylic.

I'm actually remembering to photograph each new stage. Here they are. I wasn't sure about the eyes so I blanked them in the last shot. Am still considering how to do them. Comments welcome.

The linework is complete. My husband thinks it needs something. Is he right?

Oh bloody husbands, 90% of the time they are right and where would we be without their all knowing art eye ! But you know 10% of the time, they make us just a tad unconfident in our own decision. I think its perfect as it is. Love it !!!

Mine would have anything less than Michaelangeo (who should be deified in his opinion) thrown to the lions. :)

At the end of the day you have to trust your own eye I think. And my eye says it looks great. :)

love the colours particularly the blue dress with the red hair it's so vibrant. I also really lik the plumpness of the leaves.
