Blue Heaven 50x60cm (20"x24") oil on canvas temporally stapled to stretcher frame

Started this week. This concept is a recurring theme for me. Have painted several similar. Hopefully each one gets better. Both brush and knife work, thick paint applies with texture.

Its about 95% complete

Actually, the painting is intended to express my responses to colourful flowers, but I must admit, I push it towards abstraction to explore colour and movement, rather than visual reality

I have been able to sell about one painting a week over six months, but do not get much for them. Its very different market and the people that buy my paintings on E-Bay propbably have not bought original art before or ever go into an art gallery or art exhibition.

Thanks Bob, I will watch this out of interest. I have never bought anything on ebay so will have to get my sisters to show me how to do it for future reference. The only thing I buy these days is art supplies. There is a rule in my house that I cannot buy any paintings until I sell some so I will have to start getting some of my work out there next year as I am sick of being a poor artist.
