Hi all,
I just thought i would post this as i know some of you have a very good eye :)
Here is my latest one, its a pic i have been wanting to attempt for a while of my son, in the reference there are bubbles over the left side of his face, so i am drawing that side of the face with no reference, so just wanting to see if anyone can see something i am not ? Anyone see anything off?
Please let me know :)
Thanks

looking great! Maybe the curve at the top of the nose near his right eye (our left) isn't right - too steep possibly (hard to explain) - I think it needs to scoop inward more
Looking great though - love bubbles..

I hope you don't mind - I've photoshopped what I think I mean - haha More of a scoop in the nose etc... For what it's worth..

glad to help:) - I always miss things in my work too - always takes somebody else to notice and point them out:) I think it's because when we paint we spend so long staring at the work...

Belinda I am assuming you are after realism so I would just say that the left side of his face doesn't quite follow the tilt on the right side. What I mean is the outer corner of the left eye and lips should drop slightly. Can you see what I mean?

Ah yes! Missed that one:) Should possibly be a tilt on those facial features..

I think I can :)
Ok i guess i will play with that... ... Does the left eye look too big to you ? Cause that’s what I was thinking maybe it was out in that regard?

left eye - I think it's okay size wise - prob just we see more of the other eye because of the angle..
good luck:)

belinda, this is absolutely beautiful, the only thing I would suggest is maybe move the pupil in his right eye over a tad and make the white of his eye a bit bigger near his nose , the bubbles are gorgeous

I agree...and it's only a small adjustment to make. Overall, this is looking really good Belinda!
What sort of support is drafting film?

thanks everyone .. i have edited the eyes .. here is an update.... i havent completed them i just erased them for the moment ..
i have been playing with the background / bubbles making some of them quite vibrant and dark .. i think if i do this tho it will take away from the main picture and then i have to put in quite a dark background... so i have to erase some of this but here is the update :)
and thanks sandy yes its drafting film :)

Belinda, I just adore everything about this painting, you have done so well, I reckon you should enter this in an art show some where,I reckon it would win :thumbup1::yes:
