Petra, I think it needs a bit more contrast. Also, I find that the line running down from the outside of the nose down to the edge of the mouth leads me out of the page a bit. Maybe a bit more contrast around the hair edges will sort that out.
Looking forward to the next installment.... :)

I think the photo is too blurry to give an opinion from (and we all know I'm no expert in clear photographs) - can you try taking another picture?

All I can say is what a genius, you are how on earth did you do that on a computer, I cannot comment as I am not sure what effect you want, looks good to me as is

If it is a reasonably accurate photograph of your painting (and I think it is) you have captured some very interesting effects. I suggest that you consider exploring this appraoch with a more portraits

I actually like the soft tones in this one Petra. It gives the portrait a warm feel to it.

Well now I know that this is actually your work and not the computers, I'm stunned :thumbup1:
It's brilliant. I can't draw a straight line to save my life, and yet you've managed to do this and then paint in tiny squares, bit's and pieces of a face.
Well done.
I find it hard to comment on the depth, because I can see that it could possible need some more, but really... it looks fine as it is. I think too that it depends upon how much depth you put into your 'normal' portraits, and how this compares to them.
Great job!

Thank you Jewels
i use photoshop `s filters mostly but there are many ways you can manipulate your original to repaint a illusionistic realistic painting , i am just learning about it all
you gave me a nice compliment , but i am far away from genius unfortunatley lol (blushes)
Jana is my Art teacher and she took the Drawing home last night to show her Husband , though she already advised me how i can improve

Thank you
a lot of glacing and scumbling and the lines have been drawn with the good old ruler in very light colour pencil to indicate where i am at
I have a fair long way to go with portrait`s as well , i was amazed how much the computer image actually helped me to see what i should do :scared:
