this morning was spent photographing flowers around town here is one of them taken with my new Nikon D40x and x10 lens

Nineteen people have looked at your photograph. That's prettry good over 22 hrs when many people are out and about rather than sitting at the computer.

I'm sorry that you haven't got any comments yet Bob, but sometimes it happens! Doesn't mean that we are bad people or that we don't like your work, it just means we are a bunch of slackers who haven't posted yet.
Give us time! We are human, and sometimes when we post we don't always get the response we want. I think you'll find that happens on any small sized forum.
As for your photo, I love it. The pink is really pretty, you've captured it well.
PS And I really consider you part of the furniture around here.
