Promotional material

I was wondering whether business cards or even magnets would be beneficial in helping to promote the forum? Is this something that members would be interested in helping hand out? Or perhaps you have an even better idea. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think magnets would be great :) Maybe have a piece of artwork on it with the URL, or something like that.

I seem to collect magnets from my clients ;)

I would love to do magnets but my only concern is the cost. Any other ideas, keeping in mind the cost issue? I think business cards might be the best option.

I like the idea of magnets - maybe get a pricing for them Lauren, you never know it might be ok.

I would certainly be happy to hand them out - either magnet or biz card.

Have you looked at Vista Print? I've heard their prices for magnets are very good.

umm, magnets sound good. Someone was doing a pack of free magnets - will have to try and think who it was????

Vistaprint have magnets 50 for $11, which is pretty good. I ended up getting some with my web address on them...it ended up costing me $28 because I uploaded my own artwork and postage, but still pretty good. I will get some for our forum next.

Yep she did. The quality is enough to hold up a piece of paper but effective promotion wise. When I'm rich I will fork out for decent magnets until then $11 ones will have to do. Are you thinking about getting some?

Thanks Ally. I actually went back to check it out again yesterday. The specials were back again plus I was able to upload my design for free. :D

I somehow managed to get my business card design down to their recommended pixel thingy for upload. Don't ask me how I did it - I still can't figure it out because I kept making mistakes or just not getting it right. I finally returned to my computer to try again (after hours of failure)and 'voila' - pixels a la Vista :lol: - ordered a proof to make sure it looked ok before placing an order. Hopefully I don't have any hidden surprises. :shock:

.............um, should I have had a new design made up instead of using my business card design?? :shock:

I think that's a good idea doing the same as your business card. If you don't like it you can always do a new design next time. I'm still hanging by the letterbox for my magnets...

hehe....I have to wait 3 weeks for mine - I went for the cheaper 'slow' postage. At least I'll have them for my sale. :D

I did exactly the same thing... although apparently it can arrive quickly if you are lucky. Not so in my case. I should have mine by the exhibition, but I probably will save them for the fair instead.

Since I've placed my order I've been getting emails on speicals & freebies - have you benn getting them too?
Just wondering if it's worth it to try some of those freebies - even if it's to have a selection of items to give out or sell.
